Copyright & DMCA Reports

How rights holders can report alleged infringement involving SpotiMP3, and how affected users can ask us to review a restriction.

03How we review reports

We review reports promptly and may ask for missing information. Where a report identifies infringing material or activity within our control, we will take appropriate action, which can include removing or disabling access to the material, restricting a request or suspending an account. We act expeditiously on notices that meet applicable legal requirements.

Where we can identify and contact an affected user, we will take reasonable steps to notify them of a restriction and explain how to request review, unless prohibited by law. We may share relevant notice details with that user or a processing provider to investigate and address the report. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle correspondence.

04Mistakes and counter-notices

If you believe a restriction was a mistake, email [email protected] with the subject “Copyright review”, identify the restriction and explain your rights or the reason for the mistake. A general review request is not necessarily a statutory DMCA counter-notice.

Where the US DMCA counter-notification procedure applies, a counter-notice must include:

  • Your physical or electronic signature.
  • Identification of the removed material and the location where it appeared before removal or restriction.
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith the material was removed or disabled because of a mistake or misidentification.
  • Your name, address and telephone number; consent to the jurisdiction of the US Federal District Court for the district containing your address, or, if outside the United States, any judicial district in which the service provider may be found; and agreement to accept service of process from the original notice sender or their agent.

A statutory counter-notice is forwarded to the original complainant, including the identifying details it requires. Where the DMCA procedure applies, restoration follows the statutory 10–14 business-day process after receipt of a compliant counter-notice, unless we first receive notice of a filed court action seeking to restrain the alleged infringement. This does not guarantee that an external source will remain available.

05Repeated infringement

Our policy is to terminate access for repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances. We consider the available evidence, prior reports and their outcomes, and valid explanations or counter-notices. We may also restrict access for a serious individual violation. Do not create another account to evade a restriction.

06Scope of this reporting channel

This page provides a copyright reporting and review channel. It does not claim that SpotiMP3 has a registered US DMCA designated agent or qualifies for a statutory safe harbour. The applicable procedure depends on the law and the activity concerned; publishing this policy alone does not establish eligibility.

For account, billing or privacy questions, use the same support email with an appropriate subject instead of submitting a copyright allegation.
